The incest subplot felt ENTIRELY unnecessary and didn't add anything other than squicking out the audience (which the show does well enough with the family drama and gore) there must have been better ways to include Liv into the family without having her go to TOWN on her cousin. I'm still glad I stuck through to the end, of course, and I still really had fun watching and discussing this season! It's just everything up until this episode was great, so it felt like when you're nearing the end of writing an essay and you just need to finish it up so you can submit it at 11:59pm. I'm with everyone on this last episode just kinda souring the whole season :[ I think we all knew from the beginning that it was gonna be Liv. I don't think the show bothered to try and hide who the final girl was gonna be. It shows that as much as he judges his family for their immoralities, he had the capability to be the same. However, as I think more about it, it works. Yet she had that scenario thought out.Īt first I didn't like Theo's secret. There is no way she could have figured out that someone was gonna chase her out to the wood chipper and make her fall into it. What I don't get is how Trinh knew someone was gonna try and kill her. Where the killer finds out that the final girl is his half sister, but still carries a torch for her anyways. That actually reminded me of Harper's Island. Like they should have put those feelings they had for each other behind them when they found out they were related.

That scene with Live going full cowgirl on her cousin, was completely inappropriate. I'm actually sad that the brothers didn't make up in the end. They could have given flashbacks of Spencer planning things with Trinh. If anybody reading this liked it, could you please explain to me what you like about it? Maybe somebody can convince me to think better of this ending because I really don't want this season to be tainted since up until this episode it was a pleasure and a half. I so, so, so badly wanted to love the season because it hit so many great marks for me but this episode just. The CGI on the half of his head that laid on the ground also looked so bad and they hung on it for so long, too. Then Vincent just went full on bloodthirsty on Theo and didn't even surrender when Theo clearly had the upper hand and was in the process of severely wounding him, and killing him, it felt so out of place and random. lost? It felt like I was just going "okay but what the fuck are they going to do for the remaining 32 minutes of the episode?". It was okay for the first quarter but then once Trinh died it just felt. I already wish I could go back to before watching it and forget it exists.
#Oz season 4 episode 8 series#
Episodes 1-6 felt masterclass to me, definitively better than the rest of the series so far for me, most of episode 7 was also really good, and then this episode just. This ending possibly just hindered the rest of this season for me.
